Polish intelligence officer Waldemar Zenonik meets his demise in Algiers, where he was on a mission linked to a contract for a Polish arms company. The evidence suggests the involvement of al-Qaeda in his untimely death.

Simultaneously, in Baku, another intelligence operative, Robert Kunicki, crosses paths with Yevgeny Morozov, a journalist with ties to Russian espionage. Shortly after their encounter, Kunicki succumbs to a fatal heart attack.

These mysterious deaths within the ranks of Polish agents pique the interest of Russian authorities. GRU Colonel Arsen Fedotov closely monitors developments in the Polish political landscape, especially with the impending general election looming.

The Section, led by Roman Leski, receives a special directive to investigate Olgierd Rubecki, a war hero from Iraq who is running for office and challenging the ruling party. As the investigation progresses, it becomes evident that common threads link the cases of Rubecki and the deceased intelligence officers.

Once again, the members of the Intelligence Agency's clandestine unit are called upon to unravel the complex web of intrigue and deception. Their mission: to uncover the truth behind the interconnected mysteries and safeguard the integrity of the upcoming election.
